RIP Marci

Well, it finally happened. My little sister passed away. I'm not going to rehash everything. Some of you know what happened all from an outpatient medical procedure gone bad, but 2+ years of suffering is finally over. She is in a better place. My poor old mom has taken it pretty hard and I'm concerned about my brother in law and kids.

RIP Marci

I'm almost scared to come back here. She took the final turn just after I posted up about my divorce and getting back on track with my friends and life.

The last 3 years have been quite a ride... Hopefully the wheel is turning.

There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.

Thanks for the wishes. I'm sad about this, and truth be told a whole lot more, but I'm OK. As Chris said, its been a rough 3-4 years. While I want nothing more to have her home, happy and healthy with her family; that wasn't in the cards. Living in the present, this really was the best thing for her.

Very sorry to hear this, and I'll add your family to my prayers. Take some solace in that she is no longer suffering.

Life has no instruction manual. Parts and labor can be impossible to find. Many go down the road with parts that are in need of service. A breakdown is eventual.

I'm very sorry for your loss.

While this was the best thing for her, please allow yourself the time, space, and permission to grieve. She is better off but your family is still dealing with the loss of a loved one. Talk to your family, a counselor, or minister if believe in religion. Hold tight to your parents, and family, they are in need of support, and grieving together allows you to support each other through understanding. Having lost a parent I speak from experience. Make sure you are getting enough rest, and also keep an eye on those hit the hardest, make sure they are eating, and sleeping. Grief can do horrible things to the mind and body. As others have said don't be affraid to ask for help, clsb is like extended family, we are here.
