why YOU should own a gun

And if anyone else had been armed this POS might not have gotten past the first one.

In another article there is a part about the shooter standing or sitting in a car (not sure which) and yelling at a lady that called 911 who knew him and she got shot...another clear opportunity to shot this MF.

Guns people. Own them, know them, be proficient with them, train your family with them, use them when needed to protect you, your family, our country...nuf said.

go time traveler style and go back in time, fuck his grandma, then shoot forward in time and then fuck his mom. Then return back to present state and call him a the product of two incest whores and hes your son and show video of you plowing the both members of his family. .

Fuckers here will use this case to tell us that guns are bad.

Totally ignoring the fact that he probably had an illegal gun to begin with considering his criminal record.

ISP isnt the problem. they will only back what the law says. Thats the way it works. Remember ISP also tried to block releasing of foid info. isp controls that.

I don't agree at all with not permitting CC. IMO it is your right under the constitution BUT there should be some guidelines and it's all the ones we've discussed about 100 times in related threads

you are 100% correct! I remember a story on 60 minutes (i think) of one of those liberal channels "showing" how guns wouldn't stop a gunman in a school or office setting etc. They gave some training with firearms and then set up a classroom with an instructor. Each student was pulled aside and given an airsoft and told "you're the only one armed" or something like that.

The class started and the instructor had them put on face shields as "practice" for an upcoming scenario. Once they all had them on the gunman burst in and opened fire. Gunman was shot by students but the teacher, and one student were "killed". Journalist says something like "there you have it even with armed civilians 2 people still died and one was shot (non life threatening injury)...sorry Im a little vague on memory with it.

Bottom line is they missed the fact that the gunman got smoked with in seconds of his INITIAL encounter! If everyone was unarmed he would have Columbined the whole place with ZERO resistance. IMO its a win because countless others would have survived.

We will have a CC state law soon. The Illinois General Assembly has other shit on it's plate. At least, so they say...

I don't think they go back in session until late Oct.

From an email I got today, it may be sooner than later. With chicagos ban being struck down again this week. It may open things up to constitutional carry as banning laws may all be stricken down. At least until they make new ones.

I don't understand how carrying a gun in Chicago would have helped those people in Michigan?

Even with the biggest baddest rifle I could legally buy - the math is pretty staggering. I assume I'd have to shoot from the top of the Trump building for the best advantage against ballistic drop, and hope for the best with the wind assessment across the 150ish miles. Worse yet, by the time the bullet reached the target (for the sake of argument let's assume I was successful) I'm guessing the impact would amount to little more than a small bruise as most of the killing power would have been used up somewhere over Lake Michigan.

Net: I don't understand the point of this thread.

Yeah, the new laws will be for concealed, dissembled carry. You'll have to 'use your imagination' like the ISP says to do and just toss pistol parts at the attackers face.

I agree.

While I am a CC supporter, this incident has no pros or cons to carrying a firarm. Some of the victims (not the children, ofcourse) had made their own decisions about carrying. Their weapon rights where not infringed, and the incident still happened. Having a CC choice will not remove all violence.

May the victims Rest in Peace. A prayer of stregnth for the families and friends.
