Bike won't start help needed

I've got an '03 CBR954 that won't start. Fuel pump doesn't prime. don't know if it's the fuel pump itself or something else. This happened once before (couple months ago) but I pulled some fuses (none were blown) and it started up. Won't work this time.
Anybody know these bikes that might be able to give me a hand? It's parked in the Thorek Hospital parking lot (Irving Park & Broadway). If anyone has a trailer I could borrow or if you could get the bike back to my house (Westchester) I'd gladly pay you for it.
If anybody has any ideas of where I should start looking into the problem I'd appreciate that also. I'm thinking though, that this might be way above my skill level to diagnose and fix.
I tried calling BFLY, but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. Anybody local to the west suburbs that might be looking for some side jobs?

Are you sure the starter switch is in the on position?
Did you check the connections to the battery?
Is the FI light on when you turn the key?
Was the bike knocked over recently?

Battery's fine. It engine turns fine, but the fuel pump doesn't prime so I know something is wrong with some part of the fuel system. Everything else works fine on the bike.

The FI light turns off than comes on after the bike doesn't start. No blinking either.

That is normal. What about the other questions?

How do you know the battery is fine? I don't think my bike will cycle the fuel pump if the battery is low. If that is the original battery from the manufacturer, I'd look at the battery as the culprit.

The bike cranks, so I'm assuming the starter motor takes more juice than the fuel pump, no? That's why i think the battery is ok. I'll check it if I can get the bike back home.

I don't know, that is above my area of expertise. Hopefully a mechanic can chime in here. I do know my bike will crank, but not start when the battery is low. Regardless, I'm going with a bad/low battery.

If the fuel pump isn't running, check that the relays are all plugged in and firmly seated.

There are several possibilities:

The Fuel Cut Off relay, or it's control from the ECM is not engaging

The Engine Stop Relay isn't engaging properly

The Fuel Pump itself isn't working anymore.

Check all connectors, etc.

If it cranks .... the battery is OK.

Craig is on track ...FP relay.... loose connections..... cycle the engine stop switch on and off a few times to make sure it's really in the run position.

I have the same bike and I can tell you if my battery is low, the bike will crank but not fire up.

I'm going to try and charge the battery as WSE said. I can only do so much since it's sitting in a parking lot. I'm hoping this works. The fuel relay clicks when I turn the key on, but never noticed it before because of the fuel pump priming.

If that's the original battery, it may need to be replaced. I'd just pull the battery out of the bike and have it tested at a shop. If it's still good they can quick charge it as well.

Battery may not have enough juice to run everything. Hook up the jumper cables.

Can't bump start it if there isn't enough battery to run the ecu and the pump and injectors.

I'm charging the battery now, I'll take it back tomorrow and see if it starts. If it does I know I have to change the battery.
If this works, WSE, I owe you one.

well the battery isn't the problem. I'm going to try and rent a trailer to bring the bike back home to try and work on it. Does anybody know if BFLY is still working? I called him thurs and left a message but no reply. Vacation?
Anyway, does anybody out here work on bikes very close to westchester? The bike doesn't run so it's going to be very difficult to get it around.

You should just lift in the back of a pickup instead of renting a trailer but I would figure out where you want to take it before you move it...

I'll let Ken speak for himself, but I'm pretty sure he defers electrical issues elsewhere, not his specialty. You would be better off going to Honda House in Elmhurst 630-279-1269. They have local pickup service available.

And I am still not convinced the battery is fine. Especially if that is the original battery from the manufacturer.

This!

I had two batteries test good this year and end up having to replace both.

Fixed. I rented a uhaul trailer and got the bike home. Since I noticed the fuel cut off relay clicking, I thought maybe it wasn't allowing the fuel pump to prime. I switched it out with the headlight relay and it fired right up. Weird thing is that I put the fuel relay where the headlight relay is and the headlights still worked. I'm assuming the voltage across the relay may be different so it works for the headlights.
