When CLSB bike night moved from Strat's he invited the vintage bike crowd and tried to establish a vintage bike night. The last 2 Summers I have stopped over there, usually after a Norton club meeting and enjoyed the company of the few vintage bike guys that attended. At the same time...especially when he had the dyno there... there was a crowd building that I did not have a good feeling about...Last Summer that crowd got overwhelming and I stopped going...I haven't been there at all this year...I've been around long enough to know the difference between a crowd of young people who enjoy motorcycles and gangbangers who ride. The crowd that has been frequenting and becoming dominant at Strat's the last couple of Summers are mostly the latter. It doesn't surprise me that "police activity" is happening around there and it won't surprise me one bit if more of this happens or real trouble erupts in the area.

Those 'vette guys are nothing but a bunch of crabby old farts. If they got challenged by these "bangers" most of them would shit themselves!...Hell, I'm a youngster compared to those old curmudgeons!
True that the old 'vette guys only add to the feeling of a bad scene just waiting to happen though, because sooner or later one of them is going to get mouthy with a punk young enough to be his grandkid and get his ass kicked...or worse!

I know that on Friday and Saturday nights the lot gets absolutely jamb packed. So people park across the street. Well I guess people were leaving trash and peeing on the seafood companys door so the owner said to start towing. I guess one night it got packed and the cops brought a bunch of tow trucks and towed tons of cars. Either way people act like idiots around there. A few weeks ago a guy on a harley decided to do a burnout leaving the lot and he dumped it and the bike went flying into north avenue. Then he blamed it on somone and said they threw a pop can at his bike causing it to loose control and lay it down.

I never realized how old OTB really was until he used the word "curmudgeon".

Old farts never die. They simply have someone else kick start their bike.

They probably helped the cops box them in...those dbags are great at leaving their cars where bikes should be.

You suggest that I'm old and you bring up kick starting a bike!?!?...I bet 99% of the crowd at Strat's wouldn't even know what a kickstarter was!

I couldn't be as old as you think I am...The worst I've ever done is ask someone to push when I've had to bump start my bike...I still do all my own kicking!

I said it before and I'll say it again...old beats the alternative!

Having to go through that will make you old before your time!
I personally never had a daughter but I have 4 neice's. I saw what their growing up did to my brothers and brother in law...It's amazing! I'm older than both my brothers and my neices think I'm the youngest of the family!

On topic: Strat's is a bust these days. It's only a matter of time before something stupid happens. Wouldn't you rather be riding anyway?
