crazy weather yo

Chicago is seeing crazy downpours lately with awesome lightening shows. Im starting to think these global warming folks might be right with the whole stronger more violent storms theory.

You better be nice to America or we will bring democracy to your country.

Just skirted us here.

I remmber having quite a few violent storms here back in the late 70's and early 80's. Then mild storms and such. Just a cycle.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Anyone know if running a small generator for .50-1 minute in the house to power a sump pump will provide enough CO2 to endanger an 1800 sq/ft. house with 2 floors and a basement?

Depends on how many times you run it.

Open a window to vent, put it in the garage (with door propped), or outside... extension cords are cheaper then being sick or dead.

Everyone Exaggerates

We're being taken for a ride... agaaaaaaain.....

Can't open a window but we haven't lost juice long enough for the indoors running being an issue yet. Good copy on the extension cord though, will pick up a 50'er tomorrow.

Any idea how long that gas will be good for?

Gas will last for at least 6 months before it goes bad but you can put fuel saver in and it will last for a year. Get a 12 volt backup pump!

I think you can run it for a good 2 hrs till your in trouble, make sure you duct tape the windows closed to make it real airtight like the mobile killing trucks in WW2 - better yet if it gets cold just build a fire down in the basement to keep you warm!

Get the 100' cord. You'd be surprised how long of a cord you'll need after winding it around the walls and staircase and whatnot. Plus you can use it for other stuff in the future.

Wettest July on record. More coming tonight.

The tornado sirens woke us up last night at about midnight. Scared the crap out of us! I haven't heard anything about any tornadoes in the area...

There were 3 reported tornadoes out near Galena last night, only one confirmed. Some wind damage in the suburbs.

<--- patiently waiting for SD's "the sky is falling" pics.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!
