I dig it. A few things bring up questions.

Pushrod engines typically have limited rpm. How large would a powerband be on this bike?

Unsprung weight in the engine costs bhp. I am guessing they are making a large displacement engine to deal with this loss.

I love the concept. It's very cool, and at first I thought sport touring. Then I heard it and thought track. Thanks for posting this up!

you were right the first time - Sport touring is the initial spot.

Here is the spec sheet for the motor from the manufacturers website.

I like the idea behind the bike. I hope the cost is at least in line with some of the BMW's etc of the world. This bike looks like a great alternative if it can come in under $20k. I don't see that happening and I don't know if a boutique sport touring bike has a real market place.

Does anybody have any idea of the planned cost for the new bike?

on the website it asks

What is retail price of the MST-01

Quote:
We will announce final pricing, options, and full production specifications for the MST series in late 2011. We are still evaluating key components and suppliers and are working hard to keep the base price affordable for a wide range of riders. Please stay tuned.
They also state that the motor only weighs 130 pounds and is only 18" wide at its widest point.
