Restaurant suggestion in NW burbs

I have an anniversary with my girl friend coming up and looking for a nice restaurant in the NW burbs area. Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove area is where we will be at. It needs to be a nice place with decent "romantic" atmosphere. Price range I'm looking at is up to $30 per person plus drinks. I am a little flexible on the price so all suggestions are welcome. Also willing to travel say 30mins to the location, again flexible. If it helps, they need to be open on Wednesdays and they need to serve alcohol

Thanks!

I was there 2 weeks ago. I'd rate their filet mignon at 7.5/10.

Ok, If you come back up I'll let you come with us to Ruth's, I'll even let you pay! what a deal! I think they just opened one of them over by 59/I90 in S. Barrington. Never been to one though, out of curiosity, what is the price range there?

Take her to Sun Shui in Arlington Heights off of Rand Rd. It's got that romantic atmosphere, awesome food, a nice little bar.

I don't eat sushi but from what my friends tell me they love it. They have a good menu and the food is good. Go for it, she'll love it.

I heard Tokio Pub at SOW is a happenin' lil trendy joint lately. I have yet to go myself but if you're in to that kinda thing then you check it out. Japanese tapas style dishes is what they specialize in. Price will depend on how many dishes you order so just tighten up your belt and let her do all the chewin while you sip on your domestic beer Has a lot of good reviews on Yelp too.

It is a very good suggestion we have driven by it many times, she only lives like 1/2 mile from there too, so that's nice as well.

Some very good suggestions here, thank you. Having more options is always good so keep 'em coming. I can always use more good place to take her after I do something stupid, or before I buy another bike or something

I was going to recommend this also, cool to see so many others like it.

Sushi is great, house Sake is smooth, and the Szechwan beef is frikin fantastic. Reasonably priced too and very comfortable.

The melting pot, call ahead and reserve the private table. We go there a lot for anniversaries, but it is a little above you suggested price.

WildFire not bad, Kona Grill, same area, in Lincolnshire. Flemmings - but more expensive, good steaks though, Pete Millers in Wheeling - a bit more expensive as well, but good food too.
