NERDSSS! Wireless HDMI

thoughts?

I am comparing it to a high end HDMI cable of required size so its the same price point within 10 bucks.

monoprice does not have fast enough HDMI for me so gotta go monster, etc.

Errr, wtf are you trying to do?

Do you want a cable recommendation or a wireless HDMI recommendation?

You know that HDMI cables are essentially a rip-off scam - especially schmucks like Monster. Google around and you'll find a shitton of sites explaining it all.

There is no wireless HDMI. Also monster doesn't make a faster cable.
Standard (or “category 1”) HDMI cables have been tested to perform at speeds of 75Mhz or up to 2.25Gbps, which is the equivalent of a 720p/1080i signal.

High Speed (or “category 2”) HDMI cables have been tested to perform at speeds of 340Mhz or up to 10.2Gbps, which is the highest bandwidth currently available over an HDMI cable and can successfully handle 1080p signals including those at increased color depths and/or increased refresh rates from the Source. High-Speed cables are also able to accommodate higher resolution displays, such as WQXGA cinema monitors (resolution of 2560 x 1600).

I'm not short. I'm aerodynamically efficient.

Shit is all the same. I don't think the human eye will be able to see the difference between a $5 hdmi cable and a $250 cable.

Monster doesmake a faster cable as the cable brands I looked at did not have 10.2 gb 50ft cables.

I dont accept random chinee cables if I am going to do the work of passing it thru the walls or paying someone to pass it thru my walls thru my crawlspace.

I'm using 35 foot mono price cable for 3d and its working just fine get the 22awg and you should be fine. Also there is no High speed "certified" cable that is 50ft
google bluejeans cable they have cables made in the U.S. Not the cheap Chinese cables that Monster use.

Hopefully 40 ft is long enough. If it is, I'd recommend this cable:

http://www.amazon.com/Coffee-Digital...384971&sr=8-29

It's worth every cent.

Best comment on this cable.

Quote:
After purchasing the cable, I connected it to my ~$100,000 system. This cable literally digitized me into a bit pattern and transported me into a computer world. Armed only with this cable, I had to fight my way to the Master Control Program to gain my freedom. Without this cable, I would have surely died, or still be a slave for the MCP. You can hate. But this cable saved my life.

I won't get into the argument other than to say that an HDMI over Cat5 Baluns is not as good as a one piece HDMI cable IMO if anyone is looking at this as a solution. A friend of mine ran this setup where a standard HDMI would not fit into the conduit pre-run in their house. It seems to cut out a lot and the motion in panning shots seems distorted.

Carry on.

my electrical engineer buddy even said the same thing 15 years ago. Like the monster cables for speakers. The amperage is so low, a small gauge wire isn't going to effect any quality. And you can prove it just by using ohms law.
