Loyal to the end

"This heart-wrenching photo shows how a Navy SEALís dog refused to leave his masterís side during an emotional funeral.
Petty Officer Jon Tumilson, 35, killed in the major U.S. helicopter crash in Afghanistan this month, was remembered by around 1,500 mourners.
But it was his Labrador retriever Hawkeye that really captured the publicís emotions in the photo taken by Mr Tumilsonís cousin, Lisa Pembleton."

Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil,

I found an article about this the other day. The dog's name is Hawkeye (has in Iowa Hawkeyes) and the soldier is from somewhere in Iowa. A former Hawkeye football player came up with the idea to have the dog lead the football team out on the field for one of their games this season. He mentioned the Nebraska/Iowa game since this is going to be called the "Hero's Game" but it's in Lincoln this year. Pretty neat idea if you ask me.

Look, I can appreciate this. I was young too, I felt just like you. Hated authority, hated all my bosses, thought they were full of shit. Look, it's like they say, if you're not a rebel by the age of 20, you got no heart, but if you haven't turned establishment by 30, you've got no brains. Because there are no story-book romances, no fairy-tale endings. So before you run out and change the world, ask yourself, "What do you really want?"
