Marianos Fresh Market

If your a city dweller on the northside, and you like good food, check out Marianos. It just opened on western and Roscoe and it's pretty fucking tits. If I were to describe it, I'd say Whole Foods without the pretense and price. Infact, I'd say its Chicago Style Whole Foods, cause boy do they ever know their meat. I'm cooking some Jalapeno Cheese brats that they just stuffed today. I had the cheese ones last week and they were amazing, so I have high hopes for these. Amazing steaks, you can even get Prime ones like Filets and stuff. The bakery actually looked like it gave a damn compared to most jewels and dominics, and a decent quality craft beer selection

I'm extremely happy it opened right around the corner from me.

Sounds a little like Valli Produce in Glendale Heights. Produce and Italian focused ingredients to die for

Valli is closer to a Caputo's, Mariano's is more like a whole foods. If you know your fresh markets you know what I'm saying.

Looks good. $2.88/lb for ham!? Damn that's cheap, especially in the city. Thanks for pointing this place out. I'll have to stop by and check it out.
