As some of you may have heard, we lost our home to a fire today. All our family is fine as no one was home when it occurred. Many of you left me messages, texts and emails. I did get them, but I can't respond to them all. Thank you for all the well wishes and kind gestures. We're good in a hotel for the foreseeable future. I'm so glad my family is safe. We can rebuild our home, but it will be a long time till we're back there. We've got insurance and I'm sure we'll figure this out. I'd like to not get into details or have any one share any online. It just brings me down.
About the only thing we could use is some toys for my grandson. He's pretty darn bored in the hotel. If anyone local has a couple of toys they've out grown for a an 18 month old boy, that would help. We just don't have room for a whole lot of stuff here.
Shauna's (my step daughter) dog is in the animal hospital on oxygen for a few days. They feel she'll be fine. My little dog didn't make it
Those that know me, know I'm not a huge mushy animal lover. But that little dog came to me 6 years ago as a sick puppy and was diagnosed that she likely wouldn't make it through the week. I nursed her with baby bottles of food and water and got her healthy. She was truly the sweetest little dog I ever met. So those of you that know me really well, know deep down, I'm a big softie at heart. I never thought a little dog would have me more upset then losing my home, guitars and racing collectibles. But their all replaceable. Except my puppy.
So tonight, the best thing you all can do for me is this. Hug your family and tell them you love them. Take a look around and sleep sound in your bed. Next time you're having a bad day, relax and remember, tomorrow will be better. Mine has to be.
My apologies, but obviously anyone that had a vinyl order pending with me, it will be a bit till I can get to it. All my equipment and supplies were lost. If you need something, let me know and I'll find someone to get it done for you.
