Kind of interesting that the car with the best E.T. was almost 4 MPH slower through the traps than the car that finished second. It's those kind of numbers that make drag racing interesting and challenging.

"Dirt is for racing on...Asphalt is for getting there" OR "Flat trackers go in deeper and come out harder... OR (With apologies to General MaCarthur) "Old motorcycle racers never die, they just slip off the groove and fade into the dust!

None of those cars runs on nitromethane, therefore it cannot be the world's greatest drag race.

At least they went the full 1320 feet...The nitro cars are only doing 1000 feet these days!...Pussies!!!

Blame the tracks for not having long enough shut down areas for T/F cars.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Its not the shutdown areas that are the problem. They were having problems with the tires chunking and starting to come apart at speed. They started only running 1000' in an attempt to keep the top speeds down.

I don't disagree but for $90k,the car that beat the cars costing 2x as much seems like a pretty good deal too. Just a shame that it blows its tranny after 3 launches.

Ha....there was a 1M in there but no M3? With the AWD cars dominating, a tuned 335xi would own half those cars.

The face that MT thinks the GT-R is a supercar is highly amusing. Good thing they only ran that race once because after 3 launches the GT-R would have needed to cool down.

All of those, plus looks, exclusivity, all stat numbers, etc. Oh, and if there is a less expensive version with a smaller engine or suspension/brakes and looks similar, then the car is immediately ineligible.

Then this is the perfect race. One launch beat 10 cars.

That would still be a cool race even if it were done with SUV's. It's the cool factor of lining up that many cars at once.

^^^ How about all the top of the line 1000cc production performance bikes lined up and starting them with an actual .400 Christmas (pro) tree. Motorcycles being raced are ALWAYS cooler than cars!
