Knee down and it looks like his peg is dragging too. I'm guessing simply too much speed.

Ha, I'm sure that people have gone faster through that turn. I'd say too much lean angle.

Cool pics, good crash.

do you get paid by pirelli?

Nope, but they work.

Crashing because he "was going too fast", that's some bullshit. I've dragged my rearsets on the ground through turn 5 at BHF and my tires stuck, I've dragged elbow at RA and BHF and my tires stuck, I've pulled some shitty ass passes hard on teh brakes while turning and my tires have stuck, I've wacked the throttle open while still leaned over trying to get a drive out on somebody and my tires have stuck, I've worn the tires to the cords and my tires have stuck. Pirelli's just stick, and when they do start to let go they give you enough warning you could probably drink a coffee and still have time to react to it. They're good tires and they've never let go on me for "going too fast"

When I saw the head in the air I thought of "excuses for not wearing a helmet" thread where someone said that guys could hold their head up... ITS TRUE =D

Thanks for sharing the pics.. Does this mean when I replace my OEM Pirellis I should buy more pirellis?

Yup, two crashes without touching the lid down! I'm going to stop wearing one

Pictures don't tell the whole story though. No tire could have saved that one, even if it stayed up I would have run off while leaned over. Was just an all around bad decision. I'm just glad the BMW I stuffed up the inside didn't go down.

Between this and the previous crash at BHF in July(which totally effed the bike up), my confidence is a bit shaken. September 5th at ACC I felt like I was pussy footing around and never quite got up to speed. Will start next season fresh I suppose.

I am laughing my ass off at the photoshop though

And I think I might have been holing the bike down, the flip is what cost me so damn much last time
