Martinis on Main

Took my girlfriend out last night and decided to hit up Martinis on Main, in Algonquin, Il. On the corner of rt 62 (algonquin rd) and rt 31 (main st.). The place is owned by a fellow CLSB member as well.

The place was fantastic. Wait staff was polite, knowledgeable, and very attentive. Food also fantastic. We started with a martini for each of us. I had a classic martini and my Gf had a blue magic (I think that is what it was called). Both very good. We had stuffed portabello mushrooms as an appitizer. Very tasty. I had the filet with roasted potatoes and green beans with almonds. It was cooked just as I ordered it and delivered piping hot. My girlfriend ordered the salmon and that was also great.

Atmosphere was nice. It is a smaller place and can feel very intimate though some may say cramped. It is not a real issue though. We both liked the feel.

I'd highly recomend the place for a great meal with a significant other. Price was as expected I droped $100 on 2 drinks, an appatizer, 2 entrees and a healthy tip. Not bad at all for the overall fantastic experience.

If the chance presents itself, check this place out.

I remember that car from one of the cage days, and I recall meeting you (i think running a to a bike night?) Did not realize you owned that joint. The wife and I will make a point of stopping there next time we are out. Also have some friends that want to get together (but not at other friends resturant) so I will suggest your place. Rather frequent a members place.

I need to make another stop out there with the girl, though I need to make sure I don't leave in an ambulance this time. =`)

It's always a good time at MoM. Good food, great drinks and great people.

Ciao,
Lupi
