Wow, those were circa '93? I remember every one of them, and getting very excited about what the future will hold.

I wonder what those commercials would look like today?

Look, I can appreciate this. I was young too, I felt just like you. Hated authority, hated all my bosses, thought they were full of shit. Look, it's like they say, if you're not a rebel by the age of 20, you got no heart, but if you haven't turned establishment by 30, you've got no brains. Because there are no story-book romances, no fairy-tale endings. So before you run out and change the world, ask yourself, "What do you really want?"

Not creepy...SMART!...The technology was already well in developement and they were sure that they could provide those advancements in the very near future. Those ads were more about marketing, creating a market and convincing the consumer that they needed the technology than about predicting the future.
It is amazing though to see how far we've come and how many gadgets we have come to take for granted.
Do you think you could go back to how things were in 1993?

BTW...What's a "phone booth?"

"Dirt is for racing on...Asphalt is for getting there" OR "Flat trackers go in deeper and come out harder... OR (With apologies to General MaCarthur) "Old motorcycle racers never die, they just slip off the groove and fade into the dust!

I think they're talking about the connectivity piece for all this tech, which ATT is pretty integral in. You can't spit without hitting an ATT data circuit in this country.
