Hello from 29 Palms California

Finally done with MCT and now I'm going to be out here for a while for comms school. The picture is what I see when I leave my barracks. There are some nice sun rises and sets but other than that there isn't much to look at. Thankfully command has said I can have a car on base so that will be shipped out here soon and right now they are deciding if they will let students take the motorcycle cources and let us have bikes out here. Hopefully they pass this one cause I'd love to ride the roads around here. Hope everything is going well for you guys.

By the way the connection speed for internet up here kind of sucks.

You wanna see my itinerary?

I see a bike in the background there ... perhaps you can have one on base after all?

Randal: [to Dante] Would you grow up!
Becky: [to Dante] OK, I'm only telling you this because we're friends, but sometimes, in the heat of the moment, it's forgivable to go ass-to-mouth.
Randal: [chuckling] Ha! I knew it.

That area is pretty flat, but cool roads are not far away in any direction that isn't water. Nice place to be stationed for the fall/winter.

Giz,
good luck in Comm School, it's boring as hell down there but you'll find something to do.

My Son just left for boot camp (MCRD San Diego) last week, I just received his 1st phone call and he sounded like a man just after a few days, hahahahaha. A crazed man on the phone I must say. He said maybe 30-40 words but I only understood like 10 because he talked too fast. Funny thing is, I'm his Step-Dad and he would barely let me give him birthday hugs. His last words on the phone were " miss you guys and I love you Dad, talk to you soon". I just about freaked.

I'll never forget that day in my life also, when I went to "hollywood' for boot camp.

Semper Fi Giz!

Al

^That's awesome congrats to your son. Yea the bikes in the back ground are from permanent personel only right now. They aren't sure if they will let students have bikes yet.

You wanna see my itinerary?
