Schaumburg taxes going down

A great local example of things looking up is Woodfield mall. Schaumburg officials have approved a 6% decrease in property taxes, with additional sales tax allowing the village to lower the levy.

They generated so much in sales tax that they are lowering the property
taxes for its' residents! They must have been flush with cash since we
all know it is hard to get politicians to give back money once they have it.
Wish the media would promote more of these positive stories rather than
the depressing stories that seem to perpetuate the vicious cycle of doom
and gloom.

Consider Oakbrook instead if you really want to see a mall impact property taxes.

I worked on the design and construction of the Oak Brook Promenade, there at the corner of Myers and Butterfield. We couldn't get Lombard to give us some design info we needed for stormwater purposes...had to file an FOI. They were pissed that Oak Brook was getting an upscale restaurant area just as they were revamping Yorktown for that very purpose

werd up. probably the reason why you don't have to pay for a city sticker on your vehicle either. hoffman is like that too but they try to tuck em away in 1 area with blue light specials on every corner.
