LOL... no. current model is $55K with SVT performance package. Can't imagine it going much over $60K, considering it's still a Mustang.

Yes,

but the push rod technology used was a ground up design back in the late 90's. It redefined the limits of push rod motors. It was an amazing motor for its time, push rods or not.

Yea, and good luck finding a dealer that won't upcharge that sticker price to 100k. So yea, it's corvette territory $, not camaro.

...plus my gf was with me saying "omg slow down, slow down" and I was thinking "Lose annoying squalk box in passenger seat, afford more mods and have less weight in the car and on the back of the bike"...so i dumped her and I'm single again as usual...HERE KITTY KITTY!!!

you still can't get the valve area in a 2 valve pushrod to make hp like you can with an ohc 4 valve. as long as they both have similar displacement and configuration.

Why arent they doing it with the current model???? Im sure when the GT500 first hits the streets, there will be upcharges.. But then again, a 200mph Shelby that does 10's.....

what do you think the ZL1 is gonna be going for? A regular SS is still $1000's more than a comparable GT, and its also heavier, slower and uglier. Chevy is afraid to make a camaro that is faster than the Vette, so that's it's demise.

Which is why I think the Grand National and Syclone both went away. GM can't have a Buick or Truck out run the Camaro and the Corvette. Especially when its done with a V6.

Actually that brings up a good point, forget this new car debate. I'd rather put 60K in an old Grand National and have streetable monster then buy either the new Stang or Camaro.

Not so much the camaro, but the vette. Vette owners are the biggest cry babies out there. God forbid something GM makes that can be faster then their beloved car. Go back to the late '60s and early '70s, the vette always had to have more HP than the other GM cars, plus they had that stupid 400ci rule for mid-sized cars, but that didn't matter for the vette. The chevelle couldn't have anything larger than a 396 until 1970 with the LS6, at 450hp. But even that the vette had 460hp.
