What's nice is a brand new 1000 or 750 these days has all that technology pretty much incorporated into it anyway right? Cool no doubt but definitely a living room or museum peice.

How many SVs can you get for that price, Nick?

It depends on how nice they are setup

5 nicely setup 6 thousand dollar SVs or 10 mediocre ones for 3 grand. Pick your poison.

You could build your own for less, this is just an R1 with a body kit and a bunch of suspension upgrades. It is NOT a real R7.

Just because they fell for it to does not make it legit. This is NOT an R7. This is a 1999 R1 with a whole shitload of upgrades. Last I checked QB Carbon was not in fact Yamaha.

Other show-goers gawped at the hand-modified swingarm, based on an R1’s but braced to look like the R7’s. QB’s R71 concept grafts modified parts from Yamaha’s exotic WSB racer – the R7 – on to a tweaked R1 chassis. This latest R71 is race-tuned and with over 100 R7 components built into it.
