Anyone want to go to CO this weekend?

So, normally we have 3 of us go climb in CO. We drive, leave Thursday after work, come back Sunday night. Our 3rd guy bailed due to a last minute work conflict, so...

Anybody want to drive out to Colorado with us this weekend? We're taking my Denali, so driving in comfort (bring your favorite DVD), we split gas, and normally we spend a night in a hotel and party in Denver, but for this trip we're driving out, climbing, driving home. The little time we do sleep, we'll be sleeping in the car.

Basically, if you want an adventure, you can come along. If you want to try the climb, you're more than welcome. Although it's rated as technical this time of year...the recent weather has left the mountain pretty bare. If you're in good shape, you might make it up pretty far, but considering it's a 5 mile uphill hike just to get to the base of the mountain, that might be as far as one without good conditioning might go.

If you want to try, we can get the gear you need together, and if you're experienced (I'm looking at you Chills), why don't you come on out.

We're doing Long's Peak, via the Keyhole.

Assuming weather holds, and we wont' know for sure until about 3 days out...looks to be ideal climbing conditions to get a successful summit.

If interested, post-up, or PM me.

If I had a few weeks of notice I would be in. I haven't gotten my mountain fix in this year. But I can't do this weekend. Long's Peak is on my to-do list.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!
