Dinner in Naperville recommendation

Hi:

I'm meeting a new gal in Naperville for dinner this weekend and looking for ideas as I have no clue what's down there. A liberal redhead from Texas that likes fast cars, bikes, the same bands I do, sci fi and guns. This should be interesting...

Someone mentioned Tango or Rosebud. Any of you SS peeps know either of these places or have an alternate idea?

Thanks

If Saturday's weather is good, go to Meson Sabika & dine outside in their patio. Wonderful tapas in a relaxed atmosphere, where you won't feel rushed.

Now if YOU want a faster meal so you can go fuck her brains out after dinner... well then, go somewhere else!

Meson Sabika has good atmosphere but the tapas is very overpriced for the amount and the quality.

I'd stick around DT Naperville, so after dinner you can walk around and enjoy the town.

nannho's suggestion is great if you're going for fancy and good food.

If you want more relaxed (not so fancy) there's a great sushi place called Moshi Moshi.

Heaven on Seven is fun, good food (love their voodoo enchiladas), and decent price.

Tango has good tapas and more reasonably priced than Meson Sabika.

I hear Rosebud is fantastic, though I haven't eaten there yet.

But for a liberal gun slinging Texan you might just want to hit Jimmy's Grill. The food is pretty good and the atmosphere is great, especially if you can sit outside on the patio.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Heaven on Seven is whack, don't go!

la sorella di francesca is okay, nothing special I think.

Rosebud is pretty good, but can be pricey.

Meson is good too, but pricey as well.

Get some White Chocolate Grill. It's not in Dtown Naperville, but it's good food.

You're crazy, Heaven on Seven has good food. I've eaten White Chocolate Grill and it was horrible. Stay away from that mess.

Agreed...I thought White Chocolate Grill was meh, especially for the price. ...and it's right off the highway, not good if you're looking for any ambiance on the date.

White Chocolate Grill is over-priced crap.

If you want to spend big bucks on a high end meal, you're best off going to Hugo's Frog Bar & getting Gibson's steaks. This chick better give DAMN GOOD blowjobs for that though.

And why do you think Heaven on Seven sucks? This I gotta hear.

Haha, I didn't even mention Hugo's for this reason. That place is really good, but be prepared to drop like $150 minimum.

What did you order from Heaven on Seven?

Their "crab cakes" were just cakes and their gumbo/jambalya was blah... oh well, I forgot everyone on here have refined palettes.

Not a crab cake person in general, so I cannot comment on that.

So what constitutes a "non-blah" gumbo, hmm? What constitutes a "non-blah" jambalya?

Ever try any of their BBQ offerings? How about their weekend brunch offerings?

All these ballers spending a buck-three-sixty for a date dinner..... No wonder you never get laid.

Sullivans, jazz, great bar, high class steakhouse.
Meson ....... Wonderful...... Pricey ..... So what, it's a date.
Heaven on seven ...... Rocks, modestly priced ..... Pretty casual.
Catch 35 ..... Great seafood, classy, priced like it.
Hugo's ..... If you want it raw.
Bar Louie ..... Cool casual ...... Bar food ......fun, tv's detract if sports are on.
There is a traditional Sushi place that quite good.......

McDonalds on Ogden for the un-ballers.

I don't go downtown but a fun place to go is Shinto's they have that habatchi grill and put on a neat little show.

I'd step it up from Mc Donalds and go to Wendy's. LOL

Thx guys. I found out she likes Sangria and Tango makes it by the table. Sounds like a winner.

Buy a recipe book, cook her dinner, accept post-dinner-BJ, then head out for some sangria after.
