Microsoft Outlook...Free Alternatives?
Is anyone using any of these free outlook alternatives? I really could use a program like that and it would be great to save the cash on having to purchase the stand alone version.

Doesn't Mozilla have a similar program?

Are you connecting to corporate email servers or just using imap/pop/smtp? Outlook can connect via "Outlook Anywhere" aka HTTP over RPC. That type of connection is much nicer then the standard pop or imap connection.

I have heard some good things about: Thunderbird. This probably does not do direct exchange connections, but imap and pop would be fine.

How long before someone says get a Mac and use Mail?

Have been using thunderbird for years. Great program and they offer updates to keep on top of things for continual improvement. Give it a try, think you will like it.
