nope, don't see it here. I get it though, but you're only going to have 1/2 the jackpot after your wife gets through with you! That's one expensive 3-way!

i'd fix my 2003 corolla (and go trade it in on a GTR!)

Look, I can appreciate this. I was young too, I felt just like you. Hated authority, hated all my bosses, thought they were full of shit. Look, it's like they say, if you're not a rebel by the age of 20, you got no heart, but if you haven't turned establishment by 30, you've got no brains. Because there are no story-book romances, no fairy-tale endings. So before you run out and change the world, ask yourself, "What do you really want?"

I was thinking about this today when I saw it is 500,000,000 or half a baller

So, say it is $500M - Cut in half for taxes, now, $250M - To get all up front, I think it gets cut another 40%? - So, lets just say you are about what, $140M

I would forget all your names in about 3.5 seconds and be dead inside of (3) months of some drug induced state of mind crash of some kind of expensive vehicle impulse buy in Monaco

$500M jackpot --> taken in 1 lump sum, only get half, leaves $250M
Pay 39.6% ordinary income tax on that, which is $99M, leaves $151M.

Then I MOVE IMMEDIATELY, because they publish your name and address in the paper when you win those things, and you don't want a parade of people surrounding your house.

In most plans, you can't put after-tax dollars into a 401k. Some folks do offer a combination plan that tracks your pre-tax and after-tax dollars separate, and then you are taxed differently later when you draw from them. Best tax break you have for after tax dollars is a Roth IRA, but you can only contribute $5,000 a year ($5,500 a year if you're 50 and over), and your earnings are federally tax exempt. Empahasis on "federally" ... some states make you pay tax on the dividends, Tennessee for example.

So blow it all on hookers ... they can't tax you for that.
