If it comes to Tmo, I'll be upgrading from my S I. Most likely will hit Verizon first though.

hard call, they are releasing the HSPA+ version first, then the LTE for the others.
At this point if it wasn't for the fact we are in the grand ole USofA we could have gotten it with the rest of the world on may 29th.

We won't get the same processor either. Hopefully they don't eff with them for each carrier like they did with the first Galaxy S phones.

In either case, it's Friday and I'm in a good mood, so I'll nibble on your bait & give you a serious reply.
First, the statement that you're dying to hear - no, I'm not formally employed within the cellular industry.
Here is what I am. I'm a technology enthusiast. I've been engaged in computing & technology, in one way or another, since I got my hands on my first computer back in the 80s. I have degree in Computer Science. I have prior work experience in systems administration and application development, before I refocused and specialized my career as a Microsoft SQL Server database developer. And I spend a lot of my free time keeping up on various aspects of technology, with Android being a core interest of mine.

In regards to Android, I read a lot. But I delve deeper than most. I apply my education and background which allows me to ask more critical questions, understand the deeper behind-the-scene consequences of various aspects of technology, and better recognize gaps in my own knowledge to drive further research.
What I find most curious is the way you chose to write your assertion. It implies that studying the writings of others and coming to your own conclusions is utter crap. Care to expand on what you were really trying to communicate? Or was my speculation accurate?
So does this satisfy your "just curious" inquiry?

After 2+ years I'm finally getting tired of my EVO and ready for an upgrade. This and the I5 seem to be in the top slots. I'm curious about Apple's new toy. I'm somewhat concerned about the 2100mAh stock battery in the SIII as in my experience Android phones eat batteries. If Apple stays with a 4.0" screen I'm pretty sure I'll go SIII when Sprint gets it and look for a larger aftermarket battery.

If you oversimplify your assertion, then the oversimplified answer is yes.

I find that a lot of people spit these ideas out based on the readings of others and never take the time to handle products hands one to make their own conclusion.
Take a person who studies all the ins and outs of being a pilot. Now this person can tell you exactly how to do ever single thing in every situation possible when it comes to a airplane, BUT this person has never actually flown a aircraft.
Now take another person that can not spit out of the facts and figures, nor do they study the whole history of that aircraft but they have personally flown for years and have handled almost every situation imaginable.
So person 1 and person 2 get into a debate and person one tends to lead the conversation due to his/her overwhelming knowledge from the years of study, but the reality is that all those years of studying are not everything you need to be a good pilot..... until you actually sit in the seat and take the aircraft for a spin you really don't know what you are in for.
So person 2 sits back and realizes that no matter the amount of stuff that comes from person 1 mouth...nothing can replace real world experience.
Now this is a far off, as we are talking about life and death in this topic of flying a airplane VS operating a cell phone...but do you see my point? You can study all you want and talk about facts that others have discovered all day long, but until you compare 2 products in your own hands, in your own location, and not just look at manufactures specs how can you state one product is better, more like, or comparable to another?
Well like I originally said, you got way to defensive and took this very personally for a simple question. But yes now I have a better understanding of who you are and where you get your info from.
There are a lot of people that respect you on here for your knowledge, but I have been asking myself why, just out of my own curiosity. Not anything against you, and not for the fact that you do or do not study tech a lot, but I am more of the person who would fly with the experienced pilot rather then the guy writing the blog about it...just my opinion.

My contract is almost up, and my EVO is starting to piss me off.
Doesn't matter what rom/kernel I put on this bitch is overheating and restarts, and does it a lot.
I will wait those couple of month and see what Apple will bring to the table, and then decide what to get, but for sure I will not get any HTC phone anymore, quality is a pure shit. Don't know why but Android phones eat battery like crazy, some how apple has a better power management.

I hope not. To pay off Iphone/apple sprint had to take it stomach deep in ass ramming and same with VZW and ATTws.
Don't want to see tmo losing a ton of green just for that. Tmobiles Android handsets have minimal bloatware compared to other companies BTW so their stock FW is not too shabby

How's the battery life on that HTC?
People are complaining on screen flickering, and on the light leakage, which means later on shit load of dust under the glass.
My 2 year old EVO 4G has ton's of dust under the glass but my 6 years old 1st gen. Iphone
is still spotless. Quality is shit and that why I will never again buy HTC phone.
