Title Services
Don't remember the name of the company that can issue titles. What is it? Looking at a bike with bill of sale only. It's not registered.

Proceed cautiously.....Illinois is no longer accepting titles obtained from title services. You need to post a bond for a provisional title and wait a designated amount of time before the title becomes permamnant AFTER going through a series of checks on the status of the vehicle and having it inspected by the State police.
I am not sure how it's handled in Indiana but there have been way too many horror stories of guys spending big bucks to get titles from services and ultimately having the title revoked and the bike (or car) they spent alot of money on being returned to the rightful owner who was holding the original title. A lot of states have started to do things similar to what Illinois is doing.
The guys at Expert Cycle in Hobart may have the info you need to proceed in Indiana. They are good people who deal in antique and classic bikes on a daily basis.
Good luck.

"Dirt is for racing on...Asphalt is for getting there" OR "Flat trackers go in deeper and come out harder... OR (With apologies to General MaCarthur) "Old motorcycle racers never die, they just slip off the groove and fade into the dust!
