Only 5-10 years younger unfortunately, due to "legal" reasons.

Just posting to say that I've recently noticed that I'm finding more often that men who look to be in their 40's with a little bit of grey hair to be really attractive, and finding out someone is in their 20s is an immediate turn off. Not that it really matters, but it was an interesting observation that what I'm attracted to readjusts itself as I get older.

+/- 5 would be a good starting point.

Most of the time you spend you are doing something other than humping each other ( Except maybe WSE )
and having a reasonably common set of experiences and references is a good thing.

Your goals and point of view also change a bit over time ...... your priorities and the way you think and feel
about things at 40 is different that it was at 20 ..... living with that difference in a couple can be really hard.

BTW ..... I think the poll needed a +/- 5 and +/- 10 choice.

I have always found women under 30 a big yawn. They are clueless in what they want in a man or life. I have always prefer women at least 5 years older than myself. Now that I am almost 55 I find women between 45 and 65 really interesting. The gym I work out at the average age is 42 and there are some women there that are smokin hot who are in there 60's, moral of the story READ (ie if your are staying home to watch Dancing with the Idiots, your brains become mush) and take care of yourself.

Sometimes goodbye is your second chance.

statics show couples consisting of older men with younger women (5 years and up to 15 years younger) have a higher happiness percentage rate and are less likely to divorce if married.

I was with a girl 14 years (7 of it in marriage). She was one year younger and it didn't work out Now, I'm with a 6 year younger girl and so far it's been 2 years and it looks great.

Age is not a deal breaker one way or another, its the chemistry between the two that will be a factor if a relationship is a success. However, if your relationship success is is defined in long term, then the odds are that any age difference over +/- 5 will result in alternative life style likes, dislikes and goals. If your relationship succes is difined as a short term thrill ride and roll in a hay, then the younger the better.

Hm. Most recently, it was +12, but that didn't work out because of the age difference. I'm just not at a place in life where kids are a good idea, and that was basically a dealbreaker for him.

I've had no problem going +5 or 7 before, but maybe I'll avoid the 40yr olds for a while and stick with someone closer to my age group. Can't go with younger.
