umm..Maks? Metromix would be a good starting point. Closest thing to a 'club' I hit is Alumni on Division.

Le Passage and Whitestar Lounge - pretty nice places with some good music and a very international crowd. Not sure about the adress, just find it on Metromix. Most of my intl. friends go there regularly on weekends so I'd say it can't be too bad.

Yes. Opening night pictures were craaazy--people lined up around the block again like they used to have 2 years ago (when it was an entirely different club, as Chris said). I'd recommend going there just from what I've heard about the new place, but I haven't been.

Other than that..

Rive Gauche (306 N. Halsted) is pretty good on Fridays and Saturdays. Lots of scenery, usually. If you get there late, be prepared to stand in line in the freezing cold.

White Star Lounge (225 W. Ontario) is a popular spot on Saturdays. I've only been there a few times, but the multiple rooms and crap are pretty cool.

The Apartment (2251 N. Lincoln) is a pretty recent favorite of mine. Pretty loungy, but there's a dance floor and people will be dancing, so.. They only charge cover on DVS Wednesdays which can be nice if you're going out on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, I guess. Oh, kind of a big Asian crowd sometimes (especially Thursdays, it seems), so if you've got a problem with that uhh..

Transit (1431 W. Lake) is okay. Sometimes if there's a big ass line at Rive or something, you can head over to Transit and there's no line but just as much of a crowd inside. Kinda depends.

Anyhow, those are my suggestions in general, I guess. I dunno, there's tons of clubs and crap in Chicago. If you're looking for a specific kind of music, or like.. somewhere more upscale, or somewhere cheaper, or somewhere casual, or whatever, post up and I'll try and help out more.

I suppose you go on Sunday nights huh?

I'm pretty out of touch these days but for the punk dance scene there's The Exit and Neo (I think it's now called The Alley).

Actually I was going on old knowledge and I couldn't say that it does any more. It did when it was Neo, unless of course I have the wrong place altogether.

have you been since they remodeled? its a whole different scene now.

I'm pretty much out of the club scene anyways, but I like to keep a handle on whats going on to a certain extent.
