Rep. Janklow found Guilty

Monday, December 08, 2003

FLANDREAU, S.D. Rep. Bill Janklow on Monday announced he would resign from the House after a jury convicted him of all charges in the traffic death of a motorcyclist. Janklow also faces a possible jail term for the charge of second-degree manslaughter.

Janklow, 64, was convicted of second-degree manslaughter, reckless driving, running a stop sign and speeding for the Aug. 16 crash that killed Randy Scott, 55, a farmer from Hardwick, Minn. Prosecutors said Janklow was traveling more than 70 mph in his white Cadillac when he crashed with Scott's Harley-Davidson.

Fry his ass.

There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.

Yes he was sentenced, but will this idiot actually serve time in a real prison? Or will he be put into some minimum security "resort" and come and go as he pleases? That's what I want to know.

We shall see, but he resigned his post and is no longer representing us in congress. I consider that a plus.
