Ideas for hanging out

Talking to this new girl i just met and friday im gonna take a half day from work and plan to hang out with her. Im not a socially active person so i dont get out much. I would appreciate some ideas of some fun bonding activities we could do. Not a fan of going to see a movie yet, just want something that would be fun to do on a friday afternoon. Any help out there?

Take her to a gas station and have her fill your tank up. Then buy you groceries. Let her pay a few utility bills and reward her with some anal. If she does all that she is a keeper.

Take her downtown, plenty of touristy/date type activities. Unless she is outdoorsie, then take her for a light hike at any of the local forest preserves.

Just let it happen. I never did big stuff the first time or 2, what if you don't like her? Then there is no "stuck with" the person shit.
Just go to a restaurant, lunch if dinner is too serious.
Watch a movie at your place or hers, hang out.
Don't make it more than what it is...just hanging out.

Downtown is good...You could take a stroll through Millenium Park. Check out the water taxi and take that to China town and get some bubble tea. Read your Chinese Zodiac signs and see if you match... >_> Check out rooftops - 16th floor of trump tower is awesome. Sears tower, hancock signature lounge, go to ghirardelli's by the water tower, navy pier, walk by the river, uh...take purple line north (far) to the bahai temple and walk around in evanston...just a few ideas

Deceptively simple, yet elegant.

Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder on Clark is a nice little date place to eat.

As far as theater goes do icon on Roosevelt but only do VIP that way you aren't with the rest of the riff raff.

Maybe for drinks you can do something like MapRoom which is a nice place for beer.

That's all that comes to mind right now. Go get em killer!

Bowling. 12 years later, Mandy and I are still married, worked for me.

Another idea, pistol range or even better, go to a range that rents long bows. It's even more fun if neither of you are good at it. I believe Bass Pro Shop has a range.

You got a bike man, use it. Go take a ride up Sheridan to Tower Rd beach. Once school starts and if you do it around lunch, that place is deserted.

Many other nice beaches/hang out areas along Sheridan in that general area. Pick up lunch before you head down there

You can also take the Willow Road exit from 94 and head east until you hit the lake.

Good idea, just be aware that most beaches starting in Evanston and heading north are not free.

You can't go on the beach (sand areas) without paying, but many of those places have nice views, grassy areas, benches, picnic areas, etc that are all free.

Theres a beach just south of Tower Rd. that has a bunch of benches/tables/picnic areas as well thats free. Doesn't close till like 10pm too.

use the bike at your advantage, i like some responses about things to do like rooftops and restaurants downtown. You can also take her to Planetarium, park, and sit by the lake and watch the sky and talk and vibe with her. Just communicate with her and see what she would like to do but present her with ideas. Afterwards...bring her to the crib... where the magic happens. Tell her its a magical world better than Disney
