...thats pretty enough to kill and turn into a pair of longwings for me. These are my first pair of Shell Cordovan shoes and I couldn't be happier, I ordered them back in mid February and have been waiting for the factory to get off its lazy ass ever since. Im trying to think of some good horse names for them.

It took you 7 months to buy a pair of shoes? Hmmm... :

Enjoy.

Not sure how long the actual manufacturing cycle takes, but the order was put Im in February. This is is a common style that Alden of Carmel stocks, but sometimes guys get group buys together for truely custom designs, and that takes over a year

The actual part of the horse that's used is two pretty small patches on the ass, ovals a little over a foot long I thi.k, and for this specific color it takes a long time to fine the right leather because they have to match rch and not have any imperfections. The rest of them get colored black and purple (called Number 8)becaus you can't see any imperfections then

They kind of look.......pink. There is like a pink hue to that cherry brown that just screams angry things at me.

The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

Unfortunately, Cell phone cameras don't do it justice. This giant stock picture probably more accurately represents the color

Let me know if Firespeed Tactical needs a footwear division

And if you buy the right type build and quality of shoes, its really hard to fuck them up short of spilling chemicals or something. Before he was an actor, Harrison Ford was a carpenter and still rocked Alden 403 boots on the job, and when he got the gig playing Indiana Jones, he refused to wear anything else than these boots, which is why they're now called the Alden Indy's

The more you know.

Nice! I used to be a DBA for Florshiem Shoe Company. They made some beautiful shoes. There was an employee store in the building and I was able to buy some really expensive shoes, like those, for around $25. Needless to say, I had a closet full of shoes at the time. I miss that. After that job I went to work for Hart Shaffner & Marx. The custom shop for their suits was about 25 feet from my desk. Again, needless to say, I had a closet full of their best silk lined suits. Now I only wear jeans and gym shoes.

Not in the same color and still in Cordovan leather. The color is why it took it so long. Lots of stores stock black and number 8 long wings and I could walk in and out with them. I actually tried black ones at at Hannigs at the Hancock to get a feel for the size.

Shell Cordovan only consitutes two relatively small ovals out of the entire horse hide. Here's a whole stack of them. One horse hide will only yeild two of these ovals

When they die it this light brown, any and all imperfections on the hide show, as do differences in color. So only a small sample of an entire population of hides can become this color of brown (called Ravello), hense they can't make that many at a time.

Shell lacks the pours that traditional calf skin has so stuff like that that doesn't sink in. In general it only takes a damp cloth to wipe it clean. They are actually considered the best leather for shitty weather. They are so stain and scratch resistant, you only supposed to use polish/wax every 15th wearing. In between you just brush them until your arm falls off then all the natural shine comes back.

Damn bro, out of all my friends, I'm definately the biggest metrosexual, but those are over my threshold. They look nice, but I'd have to go around telling people what they were to justify the purchase. And I'd never do that I just hope you don't expect people to recognize the pimpness of those shoes without you having to tell them.
