Shuttle Endeavor flyover

Took these from my desk chair today. A little window glare, but not a bad view! No zoom lens on these either; it was a nice low flyover that made at least 20 passes of our building.
Going to get some close ups later today at Ellington and will share the good ones.

Excelt my inlaws have seen this a tons of times; shuttles always did a refuel stopver in Amarillo between Edwards and KSC. It landed a time or two at the old Kelly AFB, too, but I was always on travel and never got to see it. I'm definitely excited about today's viewings. My 2 year old is equally excited; she has been talking about the shuttle ever since we told her it was coming.

There is also a WB-57 they keep at EFD for atmospheric research; it flies overhead pretty often and is a cool plane to see up close. The other one you don't see as often but is super cool is the Guppy.

Yeah, I didn't think about that. I believe the other two are already in their final resting places so this will be the last piggyback once it lands in CA.

I mean I'm sure you're glowing or whatever and have the big cans - but that's a pretty specific fetish for someone to have... I'm glad he feels comfortable enough about this community to share something like that with such enthusiasm.

That was my point. It's once in a lifetime, because their are no more piggy back rides for the old girls.

I am waiting on Bruce Willis. He has experience in space AND on the ground. Who else would have noticed that 15 dump trucks heading north was a sign of trouble?

Almost posted a gross picture, but decided against it because I like this thread and don't want to get it closed

I saw it too while I was downtown this morning. Very cool indeed. We are no longer the space city.

Oh yeah look at Endeavor give it to that fat bitch. Endeavor likes em thick!

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."
