Your stress

Ever wonder how the stress in your life stacks up??

Be careful when you ask "How's your day been"??Someone might tell ya.

Walk a mile in my shoes starts to mean something once you think of someones else's stress.

Stress

Stress is a state of mind, and usually self imposed.

That said, I'm pretty stressed.

Anecdotal research has shown the following: Take ten people and everyone puts their problems in a bag in the middle of the room. One by one you look through all the bags and decide what problems you'd prefer to have. Almost without fail - all ten people will prefer to take their own problems when they're done.

Go figure.

Human Nature to immediately do so because it is easier than trying to do something about it - The hardest thing to do is "stop" and look at what you are stressing about - Then, remember that you are not the only or first person in the world who has had to deal with it - Then, know that if others can get through it, so can you - Then, go back to the "stop" and re-examine what you are stressing about

Easier typed than done I know but it is something I deal with numerous times a day, every day - Usually when I walk past a hobo sleeping in his own piss wearing nothing but a shopping bag (last season's even) I tend to think, "maybe my shit is not all THAT fucked up"

Stress is what it is - hard to get under control, takes some work, but done correctly can change your life - Fuck, Scientology basis their requirement off this concept as they know everyone on the world is stressed out

If your rig has a Mad Max style push bumper, then yes.

Life has no instruction manual. Parts and labor can be impossible to find. Many go down the road with parts that are in need of service. A breakdown is eventual.

Shit, my dad died, my sister died, my cunt of a wife divorced me, her attorney made my life hell for almost 4 years, I'm working harder than ever for less $, I'm taking my business away from my thieving partnership and starting over after a decade, I don't see how I can make alimony and stay afloat for the next year or two till I turn my biz around, my stomach hurts and I don't even want to look at my blood pressure...

You know what? No one gives or should give a shit.

But from my standpoint it's all OK as I consider myself a lucky bastard compared to many, am grateful for what I have, will survive and prosper as I always have. Simple shit. I even still have time to seriously worry about those in worse shape than me and what I can do to help them.

Plus the new GF was the #1 gymnast on the Chinese national team that moved to the US 15 years ago. She thinks I'm her big strong nice white boy with a big “nose”. (She is right, of course.) Oh man, the wheel is turning and things are beginning to look up Mofos. :

I'm very well rounded in my tastes.

This is the first Asian I've gone out with since I moved out. 1 of 6 GFs sounds about right.

On a more serious note, I really didn't expect to go with another Asian lady after what the last one did. I really had a knee jerk reaction for a while. I'm glad I was able to let it go. This lady is very special on many levels and I hope a keeper. I can see this lasting.

What's weird about stress is it all yours. What bothers you may not bother me in the least.

I've always liked that proverb.

to accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference."

Mike, I said she left China 15 years ago. Not that she was on the National Team back then. At that point she had her Masters degree, was coaching for years and was the head of their international judges. Come on, remember how ancient I am. I'm not dating a 20-30 something and calling her a keeper! She is a little younger than me. Certainly "age appropriate" and very well preserved.
