That's Flounder, roughly 7 years after the happenings of Animal House. Not sure about the guy on the bike though.

That's Bazza of course on the Heron Suzuki RG500.

I'm going with 1978 since there are no Brut stickers on the sides of the upper fairings and it says Forward Thrust instead of Heron Suzuki as it did in 1979.

By 1980, he was riding Yamahas.

If you ain't with us, then it's just bad news.

Ok, here is my counter trivia. Who was his teammate that year? Hints are, he was the 1st American rider to win a GP. AND when KR got there, he realized that Barry's teammate was the real threat, not Bazza as everyone told him.

In 1978 Hennen was coming into his prime. He opened the season with a dominating performance in the Trans-Atlantic Match Races, regularly beating Kenny Roberts and Barry Sheene in the process of becoming the top scorer in the prestigious event. He then proceeded to win the Spanish Grand Prix at Jarma and took the world championship points lead.

ďAll I heard when I went to the GPs in 1978 was that I had to beat Barry Sheene,Ē Roberts said. ďI was surprised when it turned out that Pat was the rider to beat that year. He was a very steady rider. You felt good racing hard against him. He didnít do anything spectacular or crazy. He was just solid and fast.Ē

Roberts won the next three rounds and the two Americans were separated by only a single point atop the world championship standings when tragedy struck Hennen at the Isle of Man TT.

Hennen did the TT to please his British sponsor. A crash there left him with a career-ending head injury. He would recover over time, but suffered lasting effects from the injury and never returned to racing. Hennenís rival Kenny Roberts would go on to win the championship that year to become the first American to win the 500cc Grand Prix World Championship.

In spite of being forced out of racing in the prime of his career, Hennen left a strong legacy. His victory in Finland in 1976 was a seminal event in the history of American racing. It helped change the face of GP racing and opened the door for many American riders who followed in Hennenís footsteps.

When inducted in 2007, Hennen still resided in Northern California and continued working in the motorcycling industry. He became a devout Christian and is active in church activities. Hennen said that the great people he met along the way in motorcycle racing was the best aspect of his career in the sport.

Yep, he had his share of critics.

In Michael Scott's bio "Barry Sheene Motorcycle Racing's Jet-Set Superstar," he describes Sheene facing jeers and catcalls at Oliver's Mount at Scarborough, fans pelting him with beer cans on victory laps, being confronted with a hanged effigy of himself at Oulton Park and being called "Rip-Off Sheene." Rip-off may have referred to the fact that there wasn't much money left for the other riders. He goes on to describe how Barry charged top dollar but he delivered top dollar both on the track and after with the fans and sponsors; autographs, etc.

his response to all that was to hang a photo in his study of a kid wearing that shirt (Sheene is a wanker) next to a "a lurid picture cut from a men's magazine proclaiming "Areshole of the Month" on which he had montage d the face of Vernon Cooper, boss of the ACU, Britain's sanctioning body, whom Barry often found himself at odds."

If you ain't with us, then it's just bad news.
