Any Shops give on-site repair estimates?

Hey All!

My ninja was totalled in a crash last week (left turner t-boned me) bike isn't driveable and is just parked on the street. I was wondering if there are any shops in the city that would drive out to see the bike and give me an estimate for insurance purposes? Thanks a bunch.

probably not, sometimes damage is hidden behind bodywork and it takes a little digging to find everything

Sure! We can just spend a couple hours to mosey on over there and do an estimate for work we have no intention of getting. Would you like a quote for windows on the foundation of your burned down house also?

then again my senses tell me it isnt insured

go time traveler style and go back in time, fuck his grandma, then shoot forward in time and then fuck his mom. Then return back to present state and call him a the product of two incest whores and hes your son and show video of you plowing the both members of his family. .

You're logic makes sense C2M.

If it isn't insured, you have a better chance of hauling it yourself to a shop to have them check it out.

Not gonna be free though, although sometimes shops waive that fee if you decide to get it fixed with them.

Yep: this was standard operating procedure when I worked at Redline and Banzai: The estimate fee was one hour's time and it was waived if work was done at the shop. If the bike was a writeoff, then the insurance company paid us for towing (if any), estimate charge and daily storage.

We would have had to spend that hour writing up what parts were needed anyhow to do the job.

By the way: the first estimate over $1,000 I ever wrote was for a ZX1000 back in 1987.

Now, its rare to find a writeup for LESS than a grand. This is part of the reason why I prefer naked bikes . . . .
