Any shops give road-side estimates in Chicago?

Hey All!

My ninja was totalled in a crash last week (left turner t-boned me) bike isn't driveable and is just parked on the street. I was wondering if there are any shops in the city that would drive out to see the bike and give me an estimate for insurance purposes? Thanks a bunch.

Your insurance company should send out an adjuster to give an estimate on the damage.

If your bike is totaled then you'll just get a check since it'll cost more to repair than the bike is worth.

Sorry to hear about your bike, fellow Kawi rider.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Insurance companies most likely want you to contact a repair shop and have them tow it in and work with insurance to prepare an estimate or store it until they tow it if it is totaled. That is SOP. All of it is paid by your insurance either way. Might not be good if the thing gets stolen while being damaged after you already notified them.
