Presidential Debate

Man, Obama's kicking ass.

Romney looks like a cheap hack.

You better be nice to America or we will bring democracy to your country.

Romney seems rushed, fevered..... Trying to push his points. Both are rehearsed, hitting their points, but Obama seems calmer and is supplying numbers. Romney seems to be trying to sling mud, Obama seems more intent on discussing the differences.

On social security now. Romney just quoted the 716 billion that Obama "cut" from Medicaid. The same 716 billion that's included in Ryan's plan.

Romney ended the first session with saying, Obama started, I should get the last word. However, three sessions, and Romney talked over the host to speak last each time. He's coming across rude and is becoming more scattered on topics. Not a clear message from Romney.

Its all rehearsed, no point in watching it. Do you really think either way you vote that anything is gonna change for the better? We have already seen that Obama hasn't done anything, Romney I believe will just line his pockets in some way that he's good at and leave.

Romney may seem more rushed, but I feel like he is actually thinking and debating instead of speaking in slogans.

Rushed..... Impassioned.... I could see it both ways. He is much calmer in his closing statements

The moderator has just sucked keeping them both on topic.... And on time. Both candidates just talked over him.

to me it looked like obama was running around the ring trying to deflect all the shots and didn't have anything firm to stand on.

Then he called out romney for not having specifics on his plan to change things. I dont drink romneys kool aid but as a business person I do understand you place a goal, you have an outline and as you progress down your plan you make adjustments to keep on course.

I didn't really like the tone of Romney's voice at one point, while addressing a comment the Pres made... sounded a bit too condescending and winey to me.

I only caught the first 20 mins of the debate. Not that I agree with him but Romney seemed more confident and sharper on his points. Obama seemed like he wasn't fresh, sort of like he didn't get enough sleep the night before or he was not feeling well. At least that how it looked to me the short time I watched.

They should have the congress and senate debate each other since anything EITHER presidential candidate wants to do has to go through them.

Congressional and Senate pay should be based on their performance, as graded by their electing constituents. Low grade = low pay. That would help the deficit a little.

Even the Obamabots at MSNBC are giving Romney the win from last nights debate. Obama got his ass handed to him, poor guy didn't have his teleprompter.

No shit. Barry's body language said it all, as soon as Romney would make a good point Obama would glance at Mitt than stare at dead eyes Lehrer hoping he would cut him off. I think he made more direct eye contact with the guy running the debate than the guy running against him.

Mitt on the other hand stood there and looked at Obama the whole time he was fumbling through more anecdotes about his family that no one cares about.

I was truly on the fence before the debate. Romney was impressive.

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

Last night the progressive disinformation program fell apart. The complicit press, all the White House handlers, media consultants, and the anti-Romney spin machine could not intervene for 90 minutes. I can only imagine the cringing of Valerie Jarrett, David Axelrod, and Michelle as their glorified man shrunk down to size minute by minute, like the Wizard of Oz...a little man behind a curtain of make believe. Obama was never a messiah or a transformational leader. He was a manufactured candidate propped up by his teleprompter full of words written by others. He has been propelled by an ideological movement, not an inner strength of conviction. The multi-cultural icon looked so ordinary and bewildered out there all alone we have to ask ourselves how in the hell we could have ever bought into this man's radical message in the first place. He had no clothes last night

People like Obama because he is harmless, inert, polite, non-threating. As evident from the posts in this thread from Obama supporters. That is enough for them. The shear fact that they find him non-threatening is enough for them to side with his ideals. And it is the main reason they will oppose his challengers, they fear the characteristics that are necessary for progress.

Remember that Romney is no amateur at giving speeches. I am sure he gave plenty of speeches when he was a bigwig in corporate America, both to shareholders and to employees telling them to GTFO. A lot of people under estimated his public speaking ability. When staying on topic he is good, he messes up when he goes off the script and attempts to relate to common folk.

That is also why he is a complete failure as a leader, no ballz, complacent and the rest of the worlds leader have zero respect for him as they know that Michelle took his ballz or some dude in a chicago bath house took them. He was no better than a Flacid penis a a whorehouse full of 19yr old hot little sluts begging to get pringled! Putin would have a field day negatiating with him!

My favorite zinger last night was "You Don’t Just Pick Winners and Losers You Pick Losers." Romney to Obama.

Mitt Romney had an easier time with Barack Obama last night than Clint Eastwood had with that empty chair.

Given that there was probably $500,000.00 worth of education on stage last night it was sort of sad that it wasn't more educational.

Moderator was awful.

I stand by my belief that America doesn't need a President - we need an actor to tell us what Congress is going to be doing for the next four years. Call it the Reagan model.
Give Martin Sheen the script and I bet he could win as an Independent in a popular vote. Hell I'd bet it would be a landslide!
