Best prepaid phone carrier - opinions?

Folks,

I have a company phone, but want to replace my existing personal phone which is through Verizon.

The reason I want prepaid is because I want something cheap. I don't use data that often, talk less than 500min a month, but I do need unlimited texts.

Any experiences/opinions on a decent carrier?

Thanks!

I had Straight talk and it was operating on ATT lines.
ST depends on the phone can work on ATT, Verizon or T-mobile network.
45$ unlimited all (talk text and data) or 30$ for unlimited talk and text.
You can bring your GSM phone and get sim from them for 15$ or you can buy ST phone.
ST worked great, goot data speed (HASP+) and no complaints on the signal strength.
I switched to Tmobile just to get Galaxy S3 but I will switch back again in the future.

T-Mobile plan is not bad but ST has better signal penetration.
Where my ST data worked, t-mobile is not, phone signal was similar.
