Apple selling wireless led lighting

Love the idea and the fact you can control it all but dam 200 for 3 bulbs and a 3 to 4 month back order

apple is also selling a wireless camera/motion detecter made by phillips that looks pretty cool. you can have up to 16 of them. if they detect motion or sound it starts recording to the cloud and sends an email. and real time video is available at any time.

I've heard these things are absolutely life changing for people (mainly in the medical field) that have to switch there sleep schedules around frequently. Using lights similar to these to mimic actual sunlight supposedly makes a huge difference for them. I've heard this from a few different people as well.

Bad ass. I just installed the Nest thermostat in our house. Really cool interface. Can't wait to get these bulbs.

You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves.

A bunch of these types of cameras/services popped up a year or two ago. We went with Dropcams, much better than the iZon imo for about the same $.

We were thinking about the Nest but went with the iComfort. Not as simple or elegant as the Nest, but it's like having an iPad Mini on our wall. Has wifi, online and apps available and will email/text us (and the heating/ac company if we want) when any errors or problems arise. Also nice to have a 5 day forecast at our touch
