New addition to the garage

As some of you know I was let go from my previous employer just recently. Well I was given a nice severance check and ended up buying this. I figured I would splurge since I was just hired and start my new job on Monday

Holy fuck, come pick me up for lunch and lets go for a ride!

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

You have lots of cushions for your patio furniture. Why is that?

Also - nice car! Need more pics and some numbers. All stock? Trackday car? AWD?

Etc.

If you really did buy that, pretty bad ass, Steve. I saw a white 997.2 GT3 rolling through Naperville the other day.

Do you have the Porsche cage in the back? I can't tell through the windows.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Awesome!! Congrats. Totally bad ass car.

One of the guys that works for me has a membership at Autobahn in Joliet. Him and his dad keep a 2008 GT3 out there. Full slicks, suspension, bolt in cage, decent track prep. Stock drive train. He took me for a few laps in it this last fall. First time in a Porsche. Holy fuck. Major respect. The kid could drive for sure but the car was simply sublime. So neutral through corners.

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves.
