Connecticut shooting: 14 kids, 27 dead

Quote:
A shooting at a Connecticut elementary school Friday left several children and the gunman dead, law enforcement sources tell CBS News. At least one teacher was wounded in the shooting that sent frightened pupils into the parking lot.

It is unclear if there was more than one gunman at the school.

Law enforcement sources told CBS News senior correspondent John Miller that preliminary and unconfirmed information indicates that the shooter was the father of a student.

The shooter was killed and apparently had two guns, a person with knowledge of the shooting told The Associated Press. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation was still under way.

You better be nice to America or we will bring democracy to your country.

What is wrong with people?

I heard that 22 kids were stabbed at a school in China today too.

RIP

There was an interesting comment about imbalanced people using the Mayan prediction of the world's end next week as an excuse for violent actions. The schools in Oswego are taking precautions about this and were involved in a report on TV last night about this.
It's so difficult to try and understand these kind of things with rational thinking when the perpetrator wasn't rational in the least.

"Dirt is for racing on...Asphalt is for getting there" OR "Flat trackers go in deeper and come out harder... OR (With apologies to General MaCarthur) "Old motorcycle racers never die, they just slip off the groove and fade into the dust!

This!

The good and the bad is that the shooter is dead. The good is that he will not "enjoy" the glory/publicity of his actions. The bad is that nonone will for sure know what and how made him do this.

Condolences to all involved.

I just don't get why shoot young kids? Are these people THAT fucked up? It's hard to fathom, and I'm fucking tired of these asshole pussy motherfuckers playing follow the leader with school shootings.

Prayers for the kids, teachers and parents.

The shooters name is Ryan Lanza and his mother was a teacher at the school. They think he was mad at her for some reason and took her out as well as the children.

They also found hid father dead in New Jersey and have raised the number of dead children to 20.

The coverage states that the whole kindergarten class is unaccounted for...I cannot tell if that is part of the 20 dead or if that number will double.

and as expected it: "NO ONE Needs an automatic weapon. 5 year olds were gunned down! Massive taxes on bullets if we can't stop the guns." This a quote from a facebook poster, but I am sure similar nonsense will be spewed in the media soon as well.
