thats what they say. they say a lot of things though. we'll see what happens.

The downtown area looks all touristy. anyone know where to actually hang out thats not a tourist trap?

Don't know on that....but I know someone who just moved from Louisville and said it's a really fun city.

Every decent sized city has it's tourist area.

You mean Nashvegas?

Yeah its a pretty cool town. Not sure on the nightlife outside of the immediate downtown area. A lot of cool lakes and great riding around. Do you know where you are going to be living? It's also a very large and spread out suburban area.

Call a Realtor to learn more about the area for choices of living....explain what's important to you location wise and they can tell you what fits the bill.

We did a lot of driving around Louisville and nailed it the first time.

Seriously, I love TN, wish there was a way I could get stationed there. Except for Memphis. That area is ghetto as fuck, but great BBQ.

I think you'll really like it. You'll laugh at the winters....people freakout over the thought of snow and act like it's 40 below zero when it's gets down to 25 degrees outside.

I was hesitant leaving Chicago and now I wouldn't leave Louisville.

Louisville is the bomb, and I will be moving back there myself in the next year. Not sure about the specifics of Nashville, most of my time is spent around the downtown area. I agree with Kevin, spend time with a realtor or someone that really knows the town.

Yes lots of places with live music. I've been to a few on my trips there. A lot of it is country western. I'm sure that you will be able to find a few places that buck that trend given some time to explore.
