Talking 0 to 300 kph in 13.63 seconds!

Being the middle of winter and a slow news day I though I'd post this. It is the Hennessey Venom GT production car 13.63 second world record run to 300 kph or for us 186 mph. Nice to see that a USA company with a fraction of the budget of Bugatti has the record. I also like that the engine is a turbo version of the 7 liter LS7 Z06 mill.

What I found interesting was how composed and easy it seemed.

Sorry the post isn't about guns, taxes, religion, slamming Obama or other political hot spots. It isn't about bikes either, but at least it has wheels.

There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.

Vroom.

Just think of what it could do if they put a double clutch (F1 style) gearbox in it.

Still tryin'....

There is a difference between the F1 style and DSG PDK type double clutch pack transmissions..

Ok. Imagine what the time would be if they put either of those in the car instead of a "regular old manual box" that it has.

Still tryin'....
