The rifle was in fact in the school it was a shot gun removed from the car allegedly

Quote:
NEWTON, Connecticut -- Officials again confirmed that Connecticut State Police recovered three guns used in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting and a fourth from the car driven by gunman Adam Lanza after the massacre, which killed 26.

Officials had named the guns in previous news conferences, but confirmed them again Wednesday to "eliminate any confusion or misinformation," as conflicting media reports have continued to spur conspiracy theorists in the aftermath of the shooting.

Authorities said Lanza, 20, took a Bushmaster .223-caliber rifle, a Glock 10 mm handgun and a Sig Sauer 9 mm handgun into Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, Conn., around 9:35 a.m. Dec. 14, 2012.

The Bushmaster was Lanza's primary weapon during the shooting, which killed 20 young children and six adults.

A video of police taking a long gun from the back of Lanza's car is frequently cited by those who believe the Sandy Hook massacre was a hoax. Supporters of the theory say the video shows authorities taking a rifle out of the car, proving Lanza didn't bring the assault weapon into the school.

However, authorities say the gun was actually a 12-gauge shotgun. It was not used in the shooting.

The guns came from the personal collection of Lanza's mother, Nancy Lanza, who was a gun enthusiast with at least a dozen firearms, according to local media reports.

Authorities said Nancy Lanza was shot and killed in her bed by Adam Lanza before he drove to Sandy Hook Elementary and opened fire.

Lanza killed himself after spotting police at the elementary school.

Corrected at 1:45 p.m. to reflect one of the guns recovered was a .223 caliber rifle, not a .233 rifle as first reported.

I had one. Kicked like a mule, and the long slide for the 10mm round had some fast shooters having problems. I want another one, lol!

ever fire the 29? Thinking about picking up one for extended trips into the back country. I'm sure it's a beast to fire.

That is on the list of guns for this year, it may replace the G27 I want. It will have more muzzle flip than a compact, but with the extended mag and grip, it should feel pretty good. FBI used Glock 10mm, but ditched it because not all agents could shoot it well.
