Insurance

Hi all,

Who do you use for your bike insurance company???

So many options and high prices. I want to know if there is anything reasonable.

Thanks.

Most people here go with SF. Get in touch with Polish Pete on here. He's a great SF agent.

$330 a year through progressive for full coverage. Nobody else could beat it. I might check out Pete when this policy expires though

I have a collection of both modern and vintage bikes that I have with 3 companies. Daityland, Progressive and a specialty company for antique bikes Condon & Skelly. It's amazing to me how much I save by going through an independant broker who specializes in motorcycle coverage. Contact Rider's Choice Insurance Agency @ (630) 204-4178 and they'll take good care of you.

Awesome info.

I've had Progressive since I bought the bike in 09. I've gotten quotes from SF, Allstate, and a few other companies, and no one has even come close to the $450/year I'm paying with good coverages, clean record, HO, etc

SF/Allstate were almost double that, and Geico isn't even worth mentioning, way too high.

I've stuck with Progressive but they raised their rates end of last year on everything, auto, home, etc, so I'll probably shop around again for the bike.

State Farm.

My agents a really cool guy, PolishPete on this forum. Highly recommend him.

P.S...insuring just your bike with State Farm doesn't usually lead to the best rate...but when you insure your house/cars/motorcycle together...then you get the best rate. Thus, almost always worth keeping everything together (with State Farm and most major companies). Obviously some of the "specialist" companies for motorcycles only do motorcycles, so "bundling" doesn't matter either way there.

Plus, it never hurts to get quotes. For some people on here, and in general, I destroy what they're paying on their policies...but for others, I'm more $. Not that money should be your only deciding factory, but, it doesn't hurt to get a quote and see.

I work for a competitor, but have my car, bike and renters with state farm because even after the very slight discount my employer gives me, its still cheaper with SF
