2012 Tax Returns

Crap, after doing my first run after getting all my paper work...... I'm still getting a refund this year. Going to have to change my exemptions again.

On the plus side.... I think I've got my next gun picked out.

Browning BT-99 Trap Un-single 12 gauge, you know.... to go nice with my Cynergy O/U that I ordered 2 weeks ago (and won't get for another 2 1/2 months).

I think I also need a Ruger .22 Mark III because I liked Jason's so much.

I get a refund every year and like it - It is a nice little gift to start each year

Meh, I'm pretty pissed as I'd sent in my returns a week ago, and yesterday learned that there was some sort of fuck-up in my W2s which must be corrected and reissued. So I get to file an amended return... thanks fuckers.

With my crazy business, 1099 income and divorce I never know what's going on. One year I can owe 50+ and the next get back 25. This year I'm getting about 15 back that will go right into my JD's pocket. Sigh...

Is that how much you pay throughout the year? An effective tax rate is your federal taxes after your deductions and exemptions.

My entire grad school tuition showed up as "Fringe Benefits" and counts in my salary so it looks like I made THOUSANDS more, but they didn't take the taxes out of that additional "salary". Based on what I've seen in the past, I think it'll be around 6-7K I have a pay. Ouch.

This year my refund was $3,800. In May or June, my property taxes will come due and they'll run close to $4,100. So in the end, I really got nothing.

Randal: [to Dante] Would you grow up!
Becky: [to Dante] OK, I'm only telling you this because we're friends, but sometimes, in the heat of the moment, it's forgivable to go ass-to-mouth.
Randal: [chuckling] Ha! I knew it.

That is a little negative approach...if you did not pay the ~$4000 in property taxes last year, this year's refund would not be anywhere near the $3800.
