Internet TV?!?! SWEEET!!!

Ok so I dowloaded the new WinAMP 5, and it seems it's got this thing that lets you tune into Internet TV stations?!?

This is awesome. I am sitting at work, watching NBC on my desktop (somebody out there seems to be streaming NBC from San Francisco.)

I am totally gonna figure out how to broadcast, and then set my TV at home to HBO or Speedvision - then tune in at work!

depending on your service provider, I dont think your upstream would be able to handle the bandwidth.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

how much bandwidth does this suck up? I have an upload speed rated at 130k, and get realistic uploads of 16k per second from my ftp server. not toooooo shitty.

I have 10Mbps upstream. I don't think I'll have any bandwidth problems so long as I restrict the number of people who can connect.

I have already streamed (via SHOUTcast) my MP3s from home to myself here at work at 192kbps without problems. With my bandwidth I should be able to support 5 people at once at that bitrate.
