When in March is it? A few of us are headed down yonder at the end of March for some track time at Barber in Alabama. If I can talk my boss into letting me have a little more time off I might head down there.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Weather's a little nicer in October, too! But if anyone does decide to go... my advice is to MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS EARLY. Most of the best places to stay book up almost a year in advance.

Also, if you're going with a group (or even just one or two other people), look into renting a condo or townhouse. MUCH better 'bang for the buck'.

I have a good friend who has a house right in between Daytona and Orlando. Has a Gixxer and a pool, too. That's where I'll be stayin'.

Yes I called like 48 hotels one night & they are either too dang high, or you can't park a 24 foot trailer on their property or you have a min of nights you have to stay.

Cove Hotel was the best one & it's on A-1 A (beachfront ave!)

Well if anyone is going let me know!

Barber track day.....you will see me & the gang there, we are also going to have a track day here in Nashville too!

Be careful leaving your bike outside and out of your site. Three bikes were stolen from the hotel we stayed at last year. With twenty plus in one night in and around Daytona.

Just bring a big heavy long chain with a good lock. If paking in enclosed trailer, chain axle to axle.

That my .02 cents

Lost a bike and trailer the first night of BikeToberfest '01. This is why we don't go the hotel route any more. Better to rent a condo or townhouse with a secure, private garage.

Alternative is to get a ground-floor room facing the parking lot, and bring your baby in with you at night.
