My mom usually does a big ham, etc. but this year the whole house has the flu so she's just doing the black-eyed peas for good luck and we're going to pass on having a big spread.

Pork roast ala Rick salad with cranberries, spinach and almonds and balsamic vinaigrette, stirred fried veggies ala szechwan and maybe I'll treat myself to a piece of raspberry cheescake

Sometimes goodbye is your second chance.

Now a regular oven roasted turkey is going to taste like it doesn't have any flavor.

We often make a lobster dinner on New Years Eve. Sometimes it is with a bunch of people, and sometimes, like yesterday, it was just the two of us. Yum!

LOL, me and the wife just went to hooters.

I never heard of doing anything special on new years day.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
