Well, I just looked at the on-line radar maps, the heavy snow, went all south. I don't mind the snow, as long as it doesn't snow on my driveway and sidewalks

The western burbs got about 1/8-1/4 of an inch. Here in the loop there ain't shit. I don't know about the northern burbs, but I'm sure its similar to the west.

The snow stopped/slowed overnight, but I'm thinking that it is going to start up again in a few hours, maybe around noon. If the temp drops any it will stick. If not then we'll see snow accumulating on the grass and on cars. Streets will probably be wet/icy so watch out.

I drove into the office this morning around 5:30am and the closer to the loop I got the better the streets became. I'll keep you guys updated throughout the morning.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

It's started snowing in Naperville and they are now calling for 6-10". Hey, I got the Jeep now so bring it on!

Ok...now they're saying 4-8"!

Weather update:

Looks like most of the heavy stuff is south of us, like Pontiac and Kankakee. I'm seeing snowfall all the way to I-90 and its moving northeast. Most of it is pretty light.

I have a request. Could I get a snow accumulation report from each section of the burbs. Like north, northwest, west, and southwest? I'm curious as to the temps and if the snow is sticking. Thanks.

Just started getting flakes falling in the Loop. SWEET!!! Let it snow!

Yup... snowing pretty good at least 1-2" already within the last 30 minutes. I'd expect to see 4-6" by the time I leave for lunch.... if I leave at all.

Gee... great thing I had to come into work today. Very heavy wet snow... came to the first intersection off the freeway to make a right turn that I normally take at 30mph... slowed to 10mph and still slid (terminal FWD understeer) across 2 lanes and just got her straightened out with a little hand brake action before hitting the median curbing. Oops!

Be safe out there... not a bonehead like me.

You are kidding right? 3 feet!?!?

Down here its sticking to cars and grass, but the streets are clear. I'm heading back out to Naperville in an hour. Maybe I get to try out my 4wd for the first time.

My official forecast is snow through the evening... say 8ish. The intensity will flucuate. Flurries are possible through tomorrow morning.

Oh, and its gonna be windy all day and night.
