Windshield repair shops

My wife was driving down the highway and a rock chipped the windshield of her crv. About the size of a dime. Looks like a bulls-eye crack. I'd like to get the crack repaired soon. Anybody have shop recommendations and approximate cost?
I live near Oak Brook, so some place local would be preferrable.
Thanks.
Jae

You can go to any automotive supply house and buy a repair kit and do it yourself, it's not hard, but I'm not sure of your success with the cold temps outside, I did mine last spring, you can't even tell where the bullseye crack was. If you don't want to do that, just checked the yellow pages, they all use the same method, and charge around $25.00.

I have a buddy that does windshield work for a shop. Shoot me a PM if you would like his number.

Call your insurnace company ASAP. They will have the repair done to your winshield for free. They pay for the repair instead of having to pay for a whole winshield later. "As long as it is not in the drivers side on the line of vision."

A place on Western and Montrose called Pilsin or Pilsner auto glass repaired my Volvo windshield hat i broke for $125. It was suppoed to be over $200, but they gave me a used windshield, so it was cheaper. No difference, even has the 'Volvo' sticker on it. Ill get the card and post the #.

Aarons auto glass like 54th & pulaski did my caravan for 90$ used at my house with a 1 yr warranty on the glass. They're in the book.
